I am designing a slider crank mechanism to activate a compressor. The mechanism consists of a conventional crank, a con-rod and a slider bar constrained in bushes. The slider bar pushes and pulls the compressor piston.I want to construct an Excel spreadsheet that shows all the forces acting on the slider, the slider bushes, the conrod/slider 'hinge'(little end), the crank/con-rod 'hinge' (big end) and the torque applied to the crank for the incremental force axerted by the rod on the compressor piston for each incremental angle of crank rotation. Can anyone give me the equations I need or point me at the book(s) that will give me this info?
