when doing bem from roark's formulas for stress & strain on a slanted beam, do you just break it up into constituent parts & also take the specific stress point analysis?

I read a little about boundary element analysis on the internet. It seems like a very complicated analysis and I'm not sure why you would need it to design a sloping beam. Perhaps you could expand a little on the problem you are attempting to solve.
