hello,
I'm thinking about making a little hovercraft myself,
I know I need a skirt for that,
but does the skirt has to go all the way beneath the craft?
or can I just use a roll for skirt.?
and how do I know what size holes do I have to use?

I know this question looks stupid but I can't find it anywhere,

regards, Sven van Veen

The skirt is just a flexible seal between the deck and the ground, ie it does not (necessarily) have to tuck underneath. In practice they do, a bit, for stability, I believe. Cheers

I'm in the process of building one!

No holes in the skirt. My lift fan's airflow is split into two, one to inflate the skirt the second to pressurize the resulting plenum.

Hope this helps.
