Good Afternoon

Is there any way to save just sketches, like you can save features in
the design library. There are some sketches that I use for both
extrudes and sweeps and I would like to be able to save just the
sketch.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Chris

When I first started with SW, I created a part similar to what Theophilus suggested, but with multiple sketches of often used shapes. Each sketch was named per the shape ... Star, Cross, etc, then when a particular shape was needed, I simply opened the part, then "drag-n-dropped" the sketch needed. Each sketch was fully dimensioned but not located (from the origin) so that it could easily be resized & located where needed in the new sketch.

IN SW 2006 you will see new functionality called sketch blocks. It will be the best solution to your answer. You will love them.

You can also record a macro, create the sketch, and save the macro. When you start a new sketch, play the macro.
