Sketch and Datum question

Hello,

Whenever I create a sketch, I use a datum csys and it always brings the datum inside of the sketch.
So I have to exit the sketch and right click to make the datum external.
Is there a setting so that the sketch does not make the datum internal?

Using NX9.

Customer defaults: Modeling -> general -> Miscellaneous -> automatically make datums internal to child sketches.
