Can you tell me how to make sizing for the electric asyncronous induction motor (yok, stator, rotor, rotor shaft) diameters& lengths , also the type of silicon steel used in designing stator and rotor . Design is according to the following parameters:
1-Voltage applied
2-Frequency of supply signal
3-Developed mechanical power needed from the motor
3-Temperature
THANKS MORE...

For an overview of motor design with a focus on sizing, google:
"Traditional Design of Cage Rotor Induction Motors"
(presentation by Harley from Georgia Tech)

The "Induction Motor Handbook" by Boldea will go into very gorey details which I think most people could spend years studying. Probably a good investment if your goal was to optimize design for a large OEM.

"Computer-Aided Design of Electrical Machines" by Vishnu Murthy presents a cookbook approach including several Matlab script which will output suggested design based on input such as horsepower, speed, target efficiency. The program for induction motors is focused towards TEFC in the range of 1 - 200hp.
