Thermal expansion (cold days) for contained volume in closed pipe between isolated valves required ~ 90 cu. inch volume for the coldest delta T. The opearting system pressure is 130 -150 psig. The hydraulic accumlator, which has bladder is recommended to be (by manufacturer) pre-charged with N2 around 100 psig.
My questions are:
(1) If the system pressure (130-150 psig)is more than pre-charge nitrogen bladder pressure (100 psig), will there be a room for thermal expansion in the bladder?
(2) Should the nitrogen-pre charge pressure be close to system pressure?
