Can you recommend any manufacturers of rotary encoders? We've checked Heidenhein and Renishaw. Who else makes these types of encoders?

~2" diameter
~ 1000 cycles (sin/cos) per rev
optical or magnetic pickup

Heidenhain USA has "Inch" size encoders. In paticulat they have a ROD 500, 2.5 inch, 3/8 inch shaft, sin-cos or Quadrature (including a 5000 line internally 2x interpolated to 10,000 lines) with many cable/connector options.
