Simulation with P10 P50 P90 Values

I am sorry. I do not think that I made myself clear. When using P10, P50 & P90 values in a simulation, you treat them as a 3 valued discrete distribution. I have hear that some people give a 25%, 50% and 25% weight respectively to the values and other give a 30%, 40% and 30% weight. I was looking into some insight to common practice.
