Simulation time- Transport delay

why does the simulation sometimes reduces if I put a transport delay in the feedback loop, without affecting much accuracy.

By delaying the feedback you are converting your signal into components of 2 domains. Basically, the simulation time in simulink is affected by the stability of the model. If it's very stable it takes a shorter time to compute
