Is there any way to simulate data flow through a circuit flow or in other words traffic passing through the board.

The thermal simulation are performed based on worst case power dissipation of the component from the data sheet. But in reality this is affected by the flow of data from one component to other in the circuit board.

Any feedback/comments are appreciated.

Not necessarily. Data traffic can be completely uncorrelated from power dissipation. To wit, a linear regulator on a board would dissipate upwards of 20% of the power it controls, yet has zero data flow or content. Likewise, a radar DSP would perform significant amounts of processing resulting in prodigious power dissipation on potentially very little data content.

You might want to post this over at forum240. I imagine you would get a lot more information there.

You can find a complete list of forums at the top of the page on the right hand side in a drop-down box.
