simulating a payload fairing separation mechanism in Visual Nastran

Greetings!

I am trying to simulate a payload fairing separation mechanism in visual nastran in a bid to determine the spring actuation forces required for separation.I am unable to find a reference to lend me confidence in my endeavor.is anyone familiar with such a work?

I am not familiar with that product, I am very familiar with modelling mechanisms in MBD software.

The answer you don't want to hear is, lots of experience, correlated models, and hand calculations. Simple models to start with.

So what's the question?
