Hello
I'm going to use symmetry in my model (because of many interaction).
My model is a I-shape beam connected to a Box column.
But i don't know that how to use it, i mean should i define the symmetry only along the symmetry axis or for all surface that i can see in the YZ view?(I want to use XSYM)
I mean when we define a axis across the middle of Box, we can see 3 surface, (2 flange's thickness and 1 web surface), know symmetry is across only from flanges, not web, does software understand and recognize web when I define only thikhness of 2 flange for XSYM?
I analyzed this problem with only assuming surface in the axis of symmetry, and for whole model, but there are too many differences between the results!!
Why??
Cheers
