Hi,
Could somebody explain me why when I mesh solid model (volume) using shell elements I recive improper mass of the model?? It is becouse I enter improper values of shell thickness at nodes (TK(I), TK(J), TK(K), TK(L)) ??? How defined thickness at nodes for solid for example 100x100 and thickness 20mm to recive real mass and resultes??
Thank you

How do you mesh a volume with shells? They're a 2D element.

Thickness can be defined via real constants or sections within Ansys. Sections are probably the most convenient way to do this.

so there is no possibility to mesh 3D model using shell elements to make faster calculations, meshing...??

Correct. 3D solid model = 3D solid element.
