significance of yellow to caterpillar

just wondering what the significance is to them?
i now see john deere excavators are yellow, the older backhoes by deere were yellow.

is there any significance to the yellow color?

other than branding.

Everyones (John Deere, Cat, Case, etc, etc) Industrial line has been Yellow since long before I can remember. O.K O.K. so Case was more of an orangish yellow.
I think Mike is correct. In fact I think they call it 'High Visibility Yellow'.
