Hello,
I am trying to design a four leg signalized intersection. The project road will have a flyover bridge and frontage roads below which will connect to another road to have a signalized intersection. The problem is, the bridge piers has created a constraint we have a sort of median 19.2m median at the intersection "please refer the attachment for clarity". I have worked with a narrower median and the vehicle path do not intersect for the left turning vehicles. However in the current design they intersect. My question is,
1, is there a maximum width in AASHTO OR any manual that restricts the allowable median width.
2, Is there a location that you know of so that i can see and review using google earth or if you share a screen shot in this forum.
3, Will having an intersection in the vehicle path create a problem if i have signalization for each leg separately.
