It is impressive.

In response to a very different set of incentives, they're "deconstructing" frame buildings, on a much smaller scale, in New Orleans.

I.e. instead of bulldozing and burning and landfilling, they take it apart one stick at a time, carefully, and recycle all the parts, including the lumber, to the greatest extent possible.

The Deutsche Bank Building in NYC was deconstructed from the top down after it was damaged during the WTC attack.
