Are the dimensional changes are due to loss of absorbed water or due to stress relieving?

Thanks in advance for the response.

With PPS it will be because of stress relieving or maybe increased crystallinity. Almost certainly stress relieving.

You can check which by DSC. Increased crystallinity is easily detectable.

Relief of stresses is too under polarized light.
