showing Friction using dynamic analysis

Hi all,

I am trying to show the friction of one plane surface sliding over another when performing a dynamic analysis. I have the two parts constrained using a slider.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

you need to apply cam connection between the two surfaces and check enablefriction under properties tab

You should be able to apply friction to a slider. Same
method as above. I'm looking at Wildfire 4.0.

Be sure to apply gravity or something to impart motion
during the analysis.

You will need the mechanism dynamics option in order to do
this.
