I need to implement short circuit detection in custom made Functional Tester.
That is, to check for short circuit between 4 pins of connector. The detector must be remote controlled (e.g. y RS232). Any options ???

You need something that supplies current, measures voltage, and has some means of switching them around. There are off the shelf solutions for this, like

Thanks IRstuff ... I know about Keithley's switching cards but this option is too expensive (and big enough) to be o.k. for my boss.
