I'm wondering what makes it so smooth and shiny on the Xbox plastic case? I see my TP-Link router has the same kind of finishing but in white color.
After the plastic part get out of the molding machine, what procedure needs to be done in order to get that smooth and shiny effect?
If not too expensive, I see if I can use this treatment on my product. Thanks

I doubt there is any secondary process. They come out of the mold like that.

The Help for this program was created in Windows Help format, which depends on a feature that isn't included in this version of Windows.

Correct mould finish and moulding procedure and material choice all contribute.

Thank you for your help. I will talk to the mold company to make the shiny plastic surface.

What kind of the plastic should be use for that shiny surface. I am making a device for indoor usage and now designing the plastic case. THanks

There are many plastics that can give a polished shiny finish. Which one depends on a bunch of other properties and how they line up in your specific application.
