Hi!
Is there anyone who knows about the consideration of shell neutral axis offset in NASTRAN ?
Especially when modeling honeycomb panel to the frame(beam) with laminated element, there is a offset for neutral axis with respect to the reference curve.
I saw the dummy element with very weak element property is used to model the offset effect in honeycomb structure in SAMCEF (French FEA code). I'm wondering if I can apply same practice to NASTRAN as well.
Hope to get advice soon.
Thanks,
kilb
