Dear all,

I am new to this forum and Ansys, but no stranger to FEM; I have been using ABAQUS.
I was wandering if somebody could give me a hint about the post-processor?
---------------------
I am trying to create and mesh a tube with shell elements SHELL181.

(1) Does anybody know how to create a "pure" surface with an virtual thickness using the DM?
(I extruded a cylinder, and created a tube from this one using "create > thin/surface",
but it appears to be a solid).
(2) Using ABAQUS in the past, I was wandering how I could define the virtual thickness of a
section, in this case my tube?

(3) How do you create shell elements in ANSYS so far they were always solids.

Very simple questions...

Sorry, found the mistake myself... to simple...

Just define "zero thickness" using the "thin/surface" function in DM,
and then define a "virtual thickness" of the surface body in the MM.
