Sheetmetal doubt

Hello guys, wonderful forum. That's why I'm posting again, need some help with shheetmetal.


I want to put sheetmetal in 3 parts. One where you can see it in the picture, where I created a plane, and in between in the upper part. I can put sheetmetal in any of the 3, but then anywhere else. An error appears, translated it would be something like "the plane of the sketch for the flap must match up with the superior or inferior part of the base of the solid"

I really don't understand what this means, nor what solid is he talking about. I'll leave you the solid file in case you want to see it in your language.

The error in English is;
"The sketch plane for Tab feature must coincide with the Base body's top or bottom."

The error message is stating that it expects the next feature of the SM part (a Tab) to be created from its top or bottom face.

Which in turn, I believe, means that SW will not allow multiple SM parts to be created from within the Weldment module. The Sheet Metal module does not allow multi-bodies. All features must be merged in a SM part.

Thanksss, I made an improvement, but I still have some problems.

I managed to put sheetmetal, in some parts it trasspasses the tube, which is why I believe it's generating some problem.

If sheet metal features are too difficult to manage, try another approach. Simply model the part with conventional features and then add bends when the bulk of your work is done.

Using "Insert --> Sheet metal --> Bends" will convert a part to sheet metal, as long as the part is of uniform thickness and all bends are sharp or can be unfolded.
 
An alternative is to model the "assembly" with multiple parts and then put them together. Cosmos might have an easier time analyzing the assembly than the multibody part.
