Can anyone point me to a good reference on documenting a sheet metal joggle?

I haven't done a lot of sheet metal. What I have done was made by in-house skilled people and used in-house so I was able to fall back on my people and not worry about details.

I expect that I could spend a lot of time fully detailing a joggle. I also expect that the sheet metal industry has a good way of spec-ing a joggle in a concise fashion.

Thanks,

A joggle die is optimized for one material and one thickness and temper.
Have your folks make an exemplar of the die's product using the correct material, measure it and make a standard detail drawing of the exemplar, and a superimposed layer or sheet showing how the finished features relate to the dimensions of the actual die. That becomes a 'tool drawing' for that standard detail.

There is probably a tool drawing and a standard detail already existing, with a copy in the shop somewhere.

Bring donuts and coffee, and ask.
