I am currently designing shearwalls for an apartment building. I need to account for the shear transfer from wall above to wall below at intermediate floors by base(sill) plate nailing. Does anyone know where I can find the required nail type and spacing req'd by IBC or actual nail shear capacities? Thanks in advance.
