Hi,
i have two shear walls in my concrete structure. I have exported my structure's base reactions into safe to design my foundation. All the columns forces and shear walls are exported. When the foundation is designed, the rebar around the shear walls are extremely high.
Can anyone help me with this? Shall i do something? Define column supports or wall supports or anything else?
I'll be the most grateful for any comments as soon as possible.

Have you considered the stiffness of vertical elements (walls/columns) above foundation slab?

I am not sure of type of foundation you have, piled or raft. If it is raft, you can average the moments over the column strip. If it is pile, strut-tie apporach can be followed to obtain the steel

Hope this helps
