Hi, all.
I anticipate your variable answer.
I'm modeling concrete structure with shear walls and perimeter beams. After analysis and design of concrete frame, I realize that etabs
yields design result that quite lot of perimeter beams and link beams are not adequate for shear.
I examined the result, and find that the program consider reinforcement for shear only in limited location of beam.
For example suppose that the beam length is 10.4 meter, when I review the design result,(I mean, design info > shear reinforcement and right click to the O/S element.)
the program yields design result for the entire length of the beam.(except offset length of each end of the beam)
But the program only takes shear steel into considering to the beam's shear capacity only from station loc 4.622 meter to 5.778 meter.
I suspected it results from offset length problem, so I assigned offset length 0 meter but it doesn't help.
I appreciate your variable answer in advance. Thanks.
