I got a piece of 3/8" plate, and two 3/8" bolts screwed into the bottom of it(which will hold the load), that are a ditance of 2.45" form the center. At the center (on top) I got a 1/2" I-bolt that will be clamped onto a hoist and will left a 24.70 kg load. can you tell me the shear and bending moments.
Thanks
Eddy

You have a simply supported beam

Shear is found from V=1/2*P (P is in kN)
Bending, max is M=1/4*P*L (L is 2*2.45")

cheers
