Hi,

I am checking longitudinal reinforcement according to AASTHO (5.8.3.5-1)

Only problem I have is resistance factor for axial load. In my opinion it should be two value of this resistance factor, one for tension and one for compression.
I read article 5.5.4.2 but I still can't figure out value of this factor.
