I am a PM in a small Engineering Consulting Firm that specializes in small MEP Projects. We have recently partnered with two other firms (Civil/Structural and Architect) to deliver a large industrial engineering project.

I am looking for guidance (a roadmap) on how to treat CAD Base Files that are shared between our companies. For instance, we generate the mechanical layout, the structural develops a column grid in support of the layout, and the architect develops the floor plans and elevations. As the project moves along, we continue to refine these Base files. What kind of gatekeeping is appropriate in delivering SD, DD and CD level review documents to clients?
