Greetings:

We have a fixture plate that is supported by two bearings (Shaft 1.00 OD) at 56.5" apart. The fixture plate will rotate by a gear box, which will set in line with the center of the shafts supporting the plate, with an input (.375 dia) and output (.500 dia) shaft On the input shaft we will put a crank handle to be operated gear box manually to rotate the 1000 lb plate 90°. What I am trying to figure out is how much force will be required to place on the crank handle to rotate this plate with a Boston Gear Box 730B-50-G model. Attached is a diagram of how we will use it. I hope that I've provided sufficient information for someone to help.

Thank you in advance.

AGAIN?
WITH THE SAME DAMN SKETCH?

You need to get a competent engineer to help you with this project.
You are in way over your head.

No offense is intended, but I don't want to hear about someone getting hurt.

As usual, MH is posting sage advice.

If our answers in the last thread were not clear, you need to engage someone you trust who can do this work.
