I would like to know how simulate a shaft rotating, I hadn't found an element which can use in order to simulate the contact between a shaft and a bearing, I have tried creating a base to simulate the bearing but I have had problems related to discontinuos element when the modal analysis is running. So I would like some advice in order to improve my ideas and solve my problem.

Find it hard to believe that ANSYS cannot provide the elements required to model a rotating shaft simply- supported by a bearing. You may need to examine the problem more carefully in order to extract just what it is that should be modeled. Using FEA technigues requires a surprising amount of planning and thought before the model is built, and may require iterative changes to the model to get the desired result. It can take forever and cost a fortune.

That's why people in a hurry just go to one of the standard reference books on vibration and use the formula that seems closest to what they need.
