Shading of a Particular Component Present in a Drawing VIew

Is it Possible to shade a particular component in a view . The view consists of a large assembly arrangement and i just need to shade a hose present in that assy. Every parts should be viewed as wire-frame representation.

Is there any special option available to do this shading instead of manually selecting the boundary and hatching.
Any comments would be really appreciated.

Now we're talking about only one or two components shaded in a single view with the remainder of the Components shown in wireframe, for what I assume would be a sort of 'X-Ray Vision' effect, whereas the shaded components would be visible thru the wireframe model, correct? If so, perhaps it might be easier to create TWO identical views, one superimposed over the top of the other. In one view you hide all the components which are NOT going to be shaded and then turn on the shading option. In the other view you hide only the Components which are going to be shaded and then set that view to be shown as a simple wireframe with no hidden lines whatsoever.

Thanks for your comments.
In my case , superimposing will not work out .Because the one i need to show in hatches is a hose routing which goes inside complex assy. So when it goes in id should be hidden and when it is visible , it should be shown in Hatches.

I have tried partial shading , but that also not works out good.

Finally i decided to do manual hatching by selecting the boundary curves. But there also i got one issue. While selecting the boundary curves of hose, the tube bend curves are selected as circles, instead of half arc. So, hatching is not coming properly. Is there any way to do this boundary selection hatching work out?

Not for what you're describing. If it were an object with different faces which could be selectively hidden and filled in you might be able to get something close to what you're looking for but with a piece of tubing or pipe, there's only the one face. You might have to replace the tubing component with a substitute that has been 'broken-up' into multiple segments (i.e. bodies), based on what parts are visible versus what are not, and then hide/remove the appropriate segments (bodies) and shade the others.

What I have done in your situation is make the color of the bodies (and faces) that you don't want to appear shaded the color white, because they will be the same color as the paper, then change the color of the bodies that you want to appear shaded to somerthing else.

Thanks for the idea..In my case , the color concept wont work, as the output drawing should be in black and white.. So i prefer to make hatches (3 types to differentiate 3 routings)

As i said, i prefer hatching and shading will not be apt for black and white drawing.

I almost OK with manual hatching now. THe only difficulty is while selecting the boundary curves, the spline arcs are selected as 3D .( Please see attachment)
