I am using WF3 and creating a detail view. I would like to have the the view as a shaded view but the view is blank when I try. Wireframe will display but not the shaded view.

Am I missing something?

In your config.pro file add
enable_shaded_ view_in_drawing yes

Detail views will look the same as the parent view.

^--- What dr_gallup said. I often have to "fake" a detail view when I need to erase lines for clarity as you can't do so in the detail view. You need to erase them from the parent view. To get around this I create a detail view to get the detail arrows. I then place the created detail view off to the side of the drawing and create a general view similar to the detail view so that I can modify it as I see fit. Like many things in Pro/e / CREO you have to do a workaround/hack to get what you need.

My parent view is a shaded view. When I create the detail view it is blank until I switch the detail to a wireframe.
