Do you have experience of SF6 "Voltage Transformers" in HV (150 kV) lines? Which problems would you consider (explosions, ecc.)?

SF6 inductive voltage transformers (IVTs) are much less prone to explosion if compared to oil-insulated capacitive voltage transformers (CVTs).
However, for sake of safety, we now specify only silicon rubber for outer insulation: the risk for working personnel is then considerably reduced even with conventional CVTs. Thus we foresee IVTs only on cable lines and for energy metering purposes.
