Not sure what you mean by the "random color" of a solid body. Are you saying the you simply want the edit the color an existing solid body or are you wanting to change the color that the system will use when you create the next solid body?

If you're wanting to edit the color of an existing solid body first select the solid body, but make sure that you're actually selecting the solid body and NOT the feature representing the solid body. This can be done either by using QuickPick and selecting the 'Solid Body of <some feature>', press MB3 and selecting the 'Edit Display...' option. Or you could simply set your select filter to 'Solid Body' an then only the actual solid body will be selectable.

Now if what you want is to change the default color used to create solid bodies, then go to Preferences -> Objects... and set your colors there, but note that this will only have effect on the part file that you're currently working in. If you wish to change the default used by the system for any new part created in the future, you'll need to set that in...

Customer Defaults -> Gateway -> Object

Now if you're using a Modeling template part, you need to open the actual template file and use the Preferences -> Objects... workflow described above to change the default and save the template part before you start using it again.
