Setting Measurment Options Decimal places

Hello all,
Does anyone know how I can use the custom props for mass in a drawing and have it show 1 or 2 place decimal? The problem with setting the assembly or model to 1 or 2 places is that it will effect the measurement in that model. I want to beable to measure to a 4 places in the model but have the drawing show a 1 or 2 place from the properties.

Hey Robli

"Decimal places" can be set independently from each other when it comes to models and drawings. If you go to: Tools/options and then click on the document setting tabs, there will be a unit’s option. The one in the model is independent from the one for the drawing. When it comes to measuring in the model, the situation is the same for the measuring tool. You can set its decimal places to whatever you want in the measuring tools window option tab.

I think I need to explain my problem a little better. My Sheet/templates are setup to get the weight of a part from the model and display it on the drawing. The Problem is that when I link the drawing to the property in the model it uses the number of decimal places that are set in the model.
IS there away to change this in the drawing link but not change it in the model?

I have the same problem here. To my knowledge there is no way to change this. Enhancement request?

This an SPR and has been here since late SW03 early SW04. Call your VAR and add your name to the list. I believe this SPR# might fit be the one - 183409

I think what your tring to do can be controlled by adding a field to your custom props called dec_places.

Add that with the number you require and it may work for you.

Is what you want to do is have the number of decimal places for mass properties to be 4 in the modle and the assembly but have it display 2 desimal places in the drawing?
