We are gonna use a container which will need to separate after launching. The concept we've arrived at is similar to Rocket Payload Fairing separation i.e. the two halves held together will separate. We are not using pyro-bolts due to safety reasons but something similar mechanism. Now we need to turn the concept in to engineering design. I am looking for help in estimating loads. I have not so good Googling skills and the open-source papers I've come across are mainly for space applications and hi-tech.
If anyone here has some prior experience with something like above or can give references on how to start, I'd appreciate it a lot.
