Hello does the current NFPA 20 require separate sensing lines for fire and jockey pump? Reason being is that my facility is about 15 years old and our building fire pump and jockey pump share the same sensing line but have there own controllers. We were never previously informed of a problem until this year. When asked contractor shared NFPA 20 dated 1999. I also found the same info in the 2007 edition but not the current 2010.

NFPA 20-2010 4.30.1 For all pump installations, including jockey pumps, each controller shall have it's own indiviual pressure sensing line.

The main problem of having share sensing lines from what I noticed throughout my career is that if the main connection to the system gets clog then both controllers will fail in case of a fire. You should take care of this sooner rather than later.
I just do not understand how this continues to get passed AHJ's during rough and even final inspections.
