hi! i've got a question that drive me crazy .. about involute fillet intersection diameter at the tip of teeth.
how do i calculate the diameter in wich semitopping start?

You can change the od of a shaper cutter
or addendum of the rack in your calculation
to be the point of hob relief or change
in angle to produce the relief.

Then calculate the highest point of contact
that the rack or shaper will make in contact
with the part you are cutting. Often referred
to as the highest point of single tooth contact.
