Self priming = (NPSHR=0)? 1

If only it did, it would make life so much easier for the pump world, however, NPSHa or NPSHr is a function of atmospheric pressure, inlet/impeller design and pump installation configuration so therefore doesn't change.
The self priming feature is only there to evacuate air on the inlet side so the pump will "prime" or to handle any air entrained in the incoming flow.
