Please help select a suitable material for the tank used to store demineralized water before hydro testing.

We need to collect and store the water in advance, as it will be supplied by the client near the site prior to performing the hydro test for the pipeline construction in the refinery.

What type of tank material would be appropriate for this application?

If you only need a bit use PE tanks.

Did you try any searching?
Thank you for the information.

I share the same opinion that a PE tank should be sufficient, but I’m also considering a fiberglass tank as an alternative.

Are there any specific requirements I should be aware of in case I choose the wrong type?

Some packages require up to 50 cubic meters of demin water for testing.

This is quite challenging and needs proper planning to bring in the water for testing — especially if there is no storage tank available on site.

Is this for a thermal power plant? If so, we normally use DM water storage tanks for hydrotesting.

DM storage tank material is commonly CS with epoxy-based internal and external coatings.

Check whether you can rent a lorry equipped with a SS tank (25 m3 or above) to store DM water.
my 2 cents
