It is said that bigger footings have more seismic resistance... that is why torsions occur, where different sizes of foundations can rotate the building. Does this mean that for neighbors with different foundation sizes, the distances between the neighbors would change after a seismic activity since the foundations offer variable resistance to a seismic wave? What have you heard or encountered with regards to this?
