Seeking recommendation for Cameras suitable for License Plate Recognition (Day & Night)

I am currently working on a client project involving the creation of a Camera Video analytics solution to reliably read Car number plates in both Day & Night conditions..
I guess for night vision, night low pass thermal cameras may be needed for a reliable OCR optical recognition of the Number plates by the License plate recognition system.
Would be great if anyone can recommend any suitable camera hardware for such applications
