I assign descriptive names or variable names to cells that store my input data or my formula results. I might use the letter L for the length of a beam that is stored in B25.
When I edit a cell fomula that has L in it, the variable name immediately changes to B25. That may be OK if my fomula is in D25 but not for a formula in D75.
Is there a setting in Excel 2007 that will retain the cell names while editing a formula?
