Section VIII Training

My supervisor wants me to get some training on ASME section VIII, specifically unfired vessels. I really don't want to have to travel to Texas (I'm in New England). I work at a production plant that uses unfired vessels, we don't design them. Is there anyone in New England who offers training classes on Section VIII or has anyone any experience witt the ASME self-directed CD training? - Thanks

NEplantengineer, ASME also offers some on-line courses that may meet your needs. I have taken a couple and find them pretty good.

Also, keep reading these boards, you'll learn stuff here you won't learn ANYWHERE else.

I think the National Board offers various training courses- check their website for locations and types of courses.
