The software I am using to design a coffer slab only allows me to model it as a solid section. I use a density of zero and apply a self weight load of the coffer. But when checking deflections the program uses the section modulus of a rectangular section. Does anyone have a calculator/spreadsheet I could download that will calculate the section modulus of a waffle slab?
