Some question about section cut wiht nonlinear analysis?
Now I design about retainning wall wiht plane element. and I want to find moment by section cut at the base or any section.
I use condition support about spring compression only (load case type nonlinear analysis)
and when I check the result of base reaction, the value is right.
and if check wiht section cut it is wrong.
if check only dead load section cut is less than base reaction about 5-7%.
and check all combination is less than too much. (I have uplift pressure at the base and if no uplift the value is differrnt 5-7 %)
and if I use with linear analysis ,all value about base reactin is equal section cut at the base. and same with calucation by hand.
This the same problem when I use solid elememt with 3D models.
But No problem about shell element.,
