Hello everybody,
I am facing the problem of checking the Secondary Compression(or called Secondary settlement/consolidation)calculation. The reason of checking is due to the secondary is seems too large, so that the settlement could excess the requirement during the maintainance period.
I had tried to find the information on books and internet, but I found that there not too much information talking about that. those books I read are only cover a little information on that, normally less than 1 page with only describe what it is.
So, I wonder is any of you know any information related to Secondary Compression calculation and can let me know as refrence.
Also, the calculation that I check assume that if the loading is less then pc (the critical pressure between normal consolidation and overconsolidation), no secondary compression will occurs, is that true or normally partice?
(it is better if there is electronic copy, but any suggested reading are welcome)
Thanks a lot
